What to include in a correction
Corrections are the most useful messages we get. Include the page URL, the sentence or figure you believe is wrong, and, if you have one, the source we should check it against — a state statute, an official court or agency page, or the vendor's own published pricing or terms. We verify every report against the primary source before changing a guide, and when a report checks out we update the page itself rather than publishing a correction note somewhere else.
Questions about a guide
We are glad to clarify anything a guide covers, and a good question often becomes an update to the page so the next reader gets the answer too. What we cannot do by email is advise on your specific situation: everything on this site is general educational information, not legal, tax, or financial advice, and the right move in a real dispute or filing depends on facts we cannot evaluate. For a specific matter, a licensed attorney or accountant in your state is the right next step — our Terms of Use explain that boundary in full.
Privacy and copyright requests
For access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, email the address above and say which of those you are requesting; our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how those requests are handled. For a copyright complaint, follow the DMCA procedure in the Terms of Use — it lists the five items a valid notice needs, and notices with those items get handled first.
Partnerships and affiliate inquiries
If you run a product or service for landlords and think it belongs in our guides, include your company name, what the product does, and a link to its published pricing and terms. We review products against the same standard as everything else here — based on published pricing, features, and terms, for landlords who manage their own rentals — and affiliate terms never buy a recommendation, as our Affiliate Disclosure explains. See the About page for how we research.
We read every message and reply when a reply is needed.
