Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. We only recommend tools and services we believe are genuinely useful for landlords. Affiliate income is how this site stays free.
How affiliate links work
When you click an affiliate link and then buy or sign up, the merchant or its affiliate network pays us a commission — a percentage of the sale or a flat fee for a qualified signup. The price you pay is the same whether or not you arrive through our link, and you never pay us anything directly. Affiliate links in articles are marked as sponsored in the page code, and every article containing affiliate links also carries a disclosure notice near the content, so the relationship is visible before you click.
How we choose what to recommend
Recommendations come from the research process described on our About page: software and service reviews are based on the pricing, features, and terms the vendor publishes, and the law guides are built from primary sources — the statutes and official guidance each guide cites. A product is never recommended because it pays a commission, and a higher commission does not buy a better placement or a softer conclusion. If a program ends, or a product stops being a good fit for self-managing landlords, we update or remove the recommendation rather than leaving a stale link in place.
What this means for prices and comparisons
Prices, plans, and terms on merchant sites change, and the price that applies to you is the one shown at checkout, not any figure quoted in a guide. Where a guide compares products, the comparison reflects the published information available when the guide was written or last updated, so check the current pricing and terms before you buy. If you find a figure in a guide that no longer matches, tell us — correction reports are verified against the source and fixed, as our Contact page explains.
Questions about a recommendation
We publish this page so the commercial relationship behind a recommendation is clear before you rely on it, consistent with the Federal Trade Commission endorsement guidelines for affiliate marketing. If you have questions about a specific recommendation, contact us.
